- ➤ The Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport finished its holiday travel season with strong growth, marking its second-best year in history — a promising sign for local travel. Rocket Miner
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Sweetwater Literacy Center in Rock Springs announced its new 2026 K-12 structured literacy programs designed to build confidence and academic success among students with dyslexia; the center said the programs will launch in local classrooms later this year. Rocket Miner

- ➤ Jeff Davis, the former Colorado Parks and Wildlife director who resigned in November, will join Wyoming Game and Fish as deputy director to lead external operations in early February — taking over from retiring Doug Brimeyer. WyoFile
- ➤ The Rock Springs City Council approved a grant today to update the slides and swings at Blairtown Park while keeping one high-risk local favorite intact. Improvements will begin soon to refresh the playground for local families. Rocket Miner
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, Rock Springs native Marianna Tolhurst (FNP-BC), a graduate of the local Health Academy, began her new role as a nurse practitioner in the Medical Oncology unit at Sweetwater Regional Cancer Center after working at the hospital since 2017.
