On Friday, the Wyoming Senate introduced Senate File 81 to recalibrate funding for K-12 schools after the House failed to approve House Bill 110 by one vote — the measure now moves to the Senate Education Committee where changes to teacher pay, class sizes and health benefits will be debated.

Rock Springs has nearly $5 million allocated for Bitter Creek restoration — the city's federal advocacy efforts yielded a 22-to-1 return on investment, with Mayor Max Mickelson noting that Rep. Harriet Hageman’s initiatives helped secure the funds.

Amanda Zampedri, a long-time respiratory therapist at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, was named permanent Director of Cardiopulmonary Care to lead a 14-member team that provides essential respiratory and cardiac services throughout the hospital — she said the role will let her mentor staff and improve patient care.
