On March 11, the Downtown Rock Springs Urban Renewal Agency named Anna Martinez as Volunteer of the Month for her role in launching The Loft at Broadway Theater; the local entrepreneur (owner of two businesses) also runs an Airbnb and It's All in the Details Boutique.

The Sweetwater County Library System received two $10,000 gifts from the Carnegie Corporation of New York to support local resources.

The donation was announced today in Sweetwater County — a boost for our shared library services.

City officials in Rock Springs announced that work on the Century West Splash Pad Project will begin soon to transform the old pool site into a modern splash pad + play area for families.

The Rock Springs Historical Museum and Sweetwater County Historical Museum will host Trivia Night at 6:00 p.m. this Saturday at 201 B Street, where teams (up to four each) will explore the museum after hours and test their local history knowledge for a prize and free popcorn.

SCSD1 revealed its modern plan for the new high school today in Rock Springs and noted that designing the facility has been challenging.
