- ➤ Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism honored five local hospitality employees for exceptional customer service at the Sweetwater County Lodging Association Luncheon on March 25—winners included Letty Jewkes, Carol DeLong, Daniela Rameriz, Andrew LaSage and Daisy Manibusan. The quarterly R.E.A.C.H. awards, established to recognize rare and exceptional achievement in hospitality, highlighted the important role local workers play in boosting tourism. Wyo4News

- ➤ Rock Springs High School named native Hope Downs as its new Athletic Director on March 25—Downs, a University of Wyoming graduate who returned to teach in 2013 and served as assistant principal since 2020, replaces Byron Bolen who resigned in November 2024. Wyo4News

- ➤ Rock Springs is trying a creative project by hiring goats for vegetation management—this is the first time the city uses goats to clear unwanted brush in public spaces. Rocket Miner

- ➤ On March 25, Dr. Javier Hernandez joined the Obstetrics and Women’s Health team at Sweetwater Memorial—he said he values keeping moms and babies safe and plans to serve communities in southwest Wyoming. He brings experience from Evanston Regional Hospital which strengthens his commitment to quality women's care. Wyo4News
