- ➤ Veterans with the American Legion commemorated the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War's end in Rock Springs with ice cream and cake (a quiet event) as they reflected on their service (a milestone of 50 years). Rocket Miner
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Sweetwater County Sheriff’s Office will hold a public auction tomorrow morning in Rock Springs with viewing at 9:30 a.m. and bidding starting at 10 a.m. Four vehicles and a homemade utility trailer will be sold without any warranties and bids will be cash only—pickup is by Friday, April 4 during business hours. - ➤ The city is assessing the future of its Civic Center—decades behind in repairs—as part of a Rocket Miner series on deteriorating facilities here in Rock Springs. Rocket Miner
- ➤ The City of Rock Springs is running a goat vegetation management project in the Bittercreek and Deadhorse Creek channels using nearly 300 goats and an electric fence, and the operation will continue next Saturday, April 6. Local resident Madhu Anderson said the project may harm urban deer by removing key food sources — she claims the city did not consult wildlife experts before starting the operation. Wyo4News
