- ➤ The University of Wyoming has named Rock Springs native Brig. Gen. Shane Reeves as its next president — he will join in July after retiring from the Army. He will lead a university with 3,130 employees and a $533 million budget following a seven-month search among over 100 candidates. WyoFile
- ➤ Brig. Gen. Shane Reeves, an RSHS graduate and the current Dean of the Academic Board at West Point, will become the University of Wyoming president in July, replacing Ed Seidel. He signed a four-year contract ($500,000 base salary) and plans to strengthen community ties. Wyo4News
