Wyoming Horse Racing LLC (WHR) announced on April 9 that Sean Beirne was hired as general manager at Sweetwater Downs in Rock Springs.

SWEETWATER COUNTY — WE Soda cut 48 nonunion jobs from its southwest Wyoming trona operations after buying a rival company, including 32 salaried management and 16 contract positions.

Lawmakers voted to reduce interim committee meeting days from six to four after a record low in committee bill success and an ideological shift following the 2024 election (saving an estimated $120,000 to $140,000).

They also approved travel reimbursements for ALEC meetings to give lawmakers the same support as for other nonpartisan groups.
