The Wyoming Supreme Court is reviewing a tax dispute over a $3M refund that Merit Energy seeks for using electricity to transport oil and gas—if Merit wins, local governments may repay millions in tax revenues.
No hearing dates have been set and other producers could follow suit if the ruling favors Merit.
