- ➤ Sweetwater County Travel and Tourism reported a slight drop in visitation in 2025 as stays lengthened and spending grew. The agency, rebranding as Sweetwater Wyoming, will host Certified Tourism Ambassador Training (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) on May 13 for locals to improve visitor service skills. Wyo4News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students from Farson-Eden School earned national rankings of 16th, 17th, and 18th in the MAGIC Capture the Flag Cybersecurity Puzzle Challenge held virtually on April 18. They demonstrated strong teamwork and problem-solving skills against high school and college teams nationwide and internationally. Wyo4News
- ➤ Rock Springs High School was briefly evacuated Tuesday, May 5 after exhaust in the automotive shop triggered a smoke alarm around 9 a.m.; students returned to class once safety was confirmed. Rocket Miner
