- ➤ YWCA of Sweetwater County announced that its childcare program (which served families for over 50 years) will close on June 5 due to declining enrollment and funding issues. The organization will continue offering other essential services to support the local community. Wyo4News
- ➤ Shriners will hold their annual Vidalia Onion Sale next Wednesday, May 13 and possibly Thursday, May 14 at the Rock Springs Honda/Toyota parking lot and the Harley-Davidson parking lot in Green River from 9 to 4 p.m.; onion bags cost $18 while supplies last to support local programs. Wyo4News
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Western’s Student Art Exhibition is now open at the school’s Art Gallery, showing student work in painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography, drawing, sculpture and mixed media until Aug. 28. A reception with awards is set for May 14, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Wyo4News

- ➤ On May 8 at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, Megan Guess, RN, along with Paige Jenkins & Taylor Yenney, won the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Their recognized care highlights the hospital’s commitment to compassionate patient service. Wyo4News
