The cross-country 'Run for Freedom' motorcycle ride will visit Rock Springs this Friday, May 15 when bikers exit I-80 at Sweetwater Fire Department Headquarters at 3010 College Drive at 8:40 a.m. — they will then have breakfast at Archie Hay Post 24 American Legion and continue to raise veterans’ awareness.
The Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency was named a 2026 Accredited Main Street America program yesterday after meeting national standards set by Main Street America and the Wyoming Main Street Program — an honor shared by 837 other organizations nationwide, which highlights downtown investments and community events.

Southwest Counseling Service announced the retirement of Mike Bauer, who dedicated 45 years to behavioral health and community programs.
He began in 1983 when the agency had only six staff members and now plans to spend his retirement exploring the outdoors and traveling.
The Specialty Clinics of Sweetwater Memorial at 1180 College Drive now has a reopened main entrance with a roomier lobby and improved handicapped parking — giving patients easier access without walking through the back of the building.
