🚨 Crime
On June 14, Rock Springs resident Zachary Charles Ladnier, 25, was arrested by RSPD for exceeding posted speed limits and Winkler Riley Kalob, 30, was arrested for being drunk in public on a first offense—both cases remain pending with cash bonds set by RS Municipal Court.
🎭 Culture
On July 12, the Sweetwater County Museum Foundation will host a daylong tour to mark the 200th anniversary of the first Rocky Mountain Rendezvous near McKinnon in 1825 as participants depart from the Sweetwater County Historical Museum in Green River at 10 a.m. The tour will visit the original site on Henry’s Fork and continue to Lonetree with a picnic lunch at the Daggett County Centennial Museum in Manila — ticket prices are $50 for individuals, $85 for doubles, and $25 for youth.
🏛️ Government
Contractors will begin work on the Commercial Terminal Parking Lot at Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport on Wednesday, June 18th as part of a three-part construction project.
Travelers are asked to use new north exit lanes and plan for alternate travel until after July 20 when vehicles in the red area will be moved—parts of the new exit remain partly gravel.

A local doctor said breast cancer is increasing in Rock Springs — urging women to get screened every year.
The expert said that finding cancer early saves lives.
