The Green River Recreation Center will host the World’s Largest Swim Lesson campaign on Thursday, June 25 starting at 12:45 p.m. with interactive water safety sessions for children ages 5-12 and a community swim lesson honoring Paige Hardesty Greve (a 10-year-old who drowned in 2007).

WYDOT and Casper Electric are nearing completion on the westbound Green River tunnel repair, testing new lights Monday and Tuesday, with barrier removal scheduled Wednesday and Thursday — eastbound traffic will be rerouted in Green River until both tunnels resume normal operations.

Dispatchers from Sweetwater County Combined Communications won the 12th annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive on June 18 in Green River and Rock Springs; they helped gather 73 of the 175 life-saving pints donated during the two-day event.
