Sweetwater School District No. 1 apologized for a ParentSquare message that shared a volunteer opportunity linked to a political candidate and said it will review its approval process to ensure messages remain impartial.
The district stressed it does not endorse any candidate and remains committed to serving all families fairly.
Rock Springs residents may apply for a Sweetwater County School District #1 Board trustee seat (vacated by Chad Franks's resignation); letters of interest must be received by 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2.
The Board will interview candidates on July 6 at the Central Administration Building.
