Wyoming’s biggest single day of charitable giving, WyoGives, will take place Wednesday, July 16th—over 430 nonprofits will join to raise donations that support essential community services.

The event, which has raised over $14 million since 2020, will also feature a $1 million annual boost from the Hughes Charitable Foundation to help meet rising needs.

Local organizers held protests July 10 at the Rock Springs BLM office at 280 Highway 191 North from 11 a.m.-to-noon and at a park near Dewar Drive and Gateway Boulevard from 1 p.m.-to-3 p.m. to oppose a wild horse gather that the BLM will begin on or after July 15 to remove about 1,675 excess horses to protect fragile lands.

Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County’s board elected new officers for fiscal year 2025-26 on July 10—President Kandi Pendleton, Vice President Marty Kelsey, Treasurer Craig Rood and Secretary Judge Nena James were named.

Neil Malicoat will be sworn in during the August meeting—bringing fresh leadership to the board.
