- ➤ Wyoming lawmakers will consider draft legislation this week that would let advanced nuclear reactor manufacturers store spent radioactive waste at their facilities to support Radiant Industries’ plan for a microreactor manufacturing plant near Bar Nunn — many local residents oppose the idea due to concerns about safety near homes, schools and businesses. The proposal will be reviewed at a hearing in Casper by the Joint Minerals, Business and Economic Development Committee as lawmakers call for careful discussion before changing the decades-old nuclear waste ban.
