Yesterday, Wyoming’s Big Show opened at 2 p.m. with the midway and exhibit hall and marked Wyoming Day when attendees met University of Wyoming Men’s Head Basketball Coach Sundance Wicks from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.—Cowboy mascot Pistol Pete and several Cowboy cheerleaders also appeared while free Wyoming Day t-shirts were handed out as supplies lasted.

Broadway Theater and the Rock Springs Urban Renewal Agency are accepting applications for the Fall/Winter 2025 Internship and Scholarship Program — aimed at high school seniors and community college students interested in performing arts, theater operations, and event management.

Applicants can download forms from the Broadway Theater website or call, and the deadline is August 11.

Rock Springs' Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport launched its redesigned website FlyRKS.com on July 28 with a new flight search tool—FlyMyAirport—that helps travelers easily find and book flights, vacation packages, rental cars, and hotels.

Airport Director Devon Brubaker said the upgrade saves time and provides airlines with data to support plans for more service.

Michelob Ultra Movement will return to Wyoming’s Big Show on August 2nd with a 5K race starting at 8:30 a.m. and a yoga session at 10:00 a.m. that welcomes all fitness levels and offers free Gatorade, a swag bag, and a post-workout happy hour — tickets cost $20.
