- ➤ On Tuesday, August 12, veteran Wyoming news executives Robb and Jen Hicks and Rob Mortimore announced they reached an agreement in principle with News Media Corporation to purchase its Wyoming publications — a move that aims to save eight newspapers. Rocket Miner
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, Sweetwater County starts Stage 1 fire restrictions in unincorporated areas until September 3 to reduce fire risks amid dry weather and wildland fires. The order bans outdoor fires except for approved uses (campfires with approved rings and closed grills) and violators may face penalties (fines up to $100 or jail for up to 30 days). Wyo4News
