Members of the Youth Empowerment Program from Sheridan visited Sweetwater County to educate teens about human trafficking—using social media to share their message with local students.

Western’s enrollment is higher as students get ready to start classes this fall; school officials say the extra students may make campus life busier—though details are still limited.

Lawmakers did not move forward with bills to tighten deadlines and raise fines on public records requests but will form a working group—led by the public records ombudsman—to review whether the Legislature should end its long-standing exemption from the law.

The group will meet in November to see if lawmakers should follow the same rules as other government officials.
