Residents, visitors and officials gathered Friday afternoon at Rock Springs Historical Museum when DAR dedicated commemorative markers for the 250th anniversary of the United States, including a twin marker in Green River funded by nonprofit grants (no municipal or taxpayer funds) as a celebration of local heritage.
🎓 Education
Student House Leaders at Pilot Butte Elementary pitched a fundraiser for leadership jackets at the mayor’s office, asking local businesses for donations to cover the $95 cost per jacket.
The school uses a Ron Clark Academy-inspired house system to encourage responsibility and community spirit.
🏥 Health
Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County began construction today that blocks about 75 percent of its parking as Groathouse Construction works on plumbing and sewer upgrades for future office use.
Staff are asked to leave spots nearest the building open for patients, and Curb to Care Assisted Parking is available.
