Yesterday, the Rock Springs Main Street/Urban Renewal Agency announced Whiskey Goats Outdoor Co. as the September Golden Broom Award recipient for its clean and attractive storefront at 416 S Main Street—an honor that recognized the business’s commitment to vibrant displays and community appeal. Owner Jessica Evans noted the company values its role in downtown revitalization and plans to maintain eye-catching window displays that highlight the building’s historic character.
At last night’s meeting, the Rock Springs City Council voted 8-1 to remove an extra $3,000 cash benefit for future council members—following three readings of the amendment.
The council also approved a nearly $543,000 contract for the Sunset Drive Water Main Project and added a new Resort Hotel Liquor License while recognizing proclamations for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month, and Rock Springs will join the National Day of Service and Remembrance on September 11th.
