GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ WYDOT announced the Driver Services office in Rock Springs will close Tuesday, Sept. 16 through Wednesday, Sept. 17 to train staff on the MAX and oneWYO systems—the office will reopen on Thursday, Sept. 18 at noon and resume normal hours. Wyo4News
- ➤ BLM’s Rock Springs Field Office plans to remove wild horses from the Salt Wells Creek and Adobe Town Herd Areas on or about Oct. 13 despite a court ruling declaring the removal plan illegal (the move aims to reduce conflicts with private landowners). Animal welfare groups are challenging the planned removals with a new lawsuit (the legal action may result in further court proceedings if the removals continue). WyoFile

- ➤ Buffalo Bill quarterback Josh Allen will return to War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, November 22 to have his #17 jersey retired at half during the game against Nevada. It is the first official jersey retirement in Cowboys football history—recognizing his record-setting UW career. Wyo4News
