American Legion Archie Hay Post 24 in Rock Springs will host a legion family BBQ on Sept.
13 at 1 p.m. featuring the newly-elected national commander as a special guest—offering community members a chance to meet him.
Rock Springs first responders will hold their annual 9/11 Memorial Walk this Thursday morning—participants will gather at the Western Wyoming Community College parking lot from 5:30 to 5:45 a.m. and then begin the walk at 6 a.m. along Grant Street to simulate the steps climbed on Sept. 11, 2001. Later that day, the Green River Fire Department will host its 9/11 Never Forget Walk starting at Fire Station 2 at 6:30 p.m.—the event will end with a bell-ringing ceremony to honor those who lost their lives.
Missoula Children’s Theatre will hold auditions for the fall production of 'Alice in Wonderland' at Rock Springs High School Theater on Monday, September 15 from 4:15 to 6:30 p.m. Sixty District #1 students (grades K through 12) must attend rehearsals from Monday to Friday before the free public performance on Saturday, September 20 at 1 p.m.
The Wyoming Department of Transportation will route eastbound I-80 traffic through Green River on Flaming Gorge Way starting Thursday, Sept.
11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for maintenance repairs—crews will repair concrete barriers and glare shields and restore normal flow once work is completed, so local drivers should adjust their schedules for delays.
