EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Western Wyoming Community College appointed Debbie Baker as Vice President of Administrative Services on September 15—she has over 14 years in finance management and will now oversee budgeting, facilities, and administrative operations to support the College’s mission. Wyo4News
- ➤ Results from the National Assessment of Educational Progress released today show a decline in math, science and reading skills nationwide since the coronavirus pandemic while Wyoming students have shown smaller drops. Rocket Miner
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Rock Springs City Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at City Hall to review a resolution to lower the sale price of the First Security Bank Building from $800,000 to $500,000 and to approve a $58,000 goat contract for cutting weeds along Killpecker Creek corridor — a plan that also includes a $10,000 proposal for additional Civic Center services. The Green River City Council will meet tonight at City Hall to appoint Sydne Hooten and Philip Staton to the Planning and Zoning committee — a move to add new members. Wyo4News
