Good morning, Rock Springs.
🏛️ Government
Last night, Rock Springs City Council approved a contract with LS5 Livestock Company for goats to control weeds along Killpecker Creek corridor for $58,000 — councilman Rick Malonia was the only one to vote against while two council members were absent.
The council also voted to lower the asking price for the First Security Building on South Main Street from $800,000 to $500,000 — Councilman Rob Zoti said local real estate persons should have a chance as Mayor Mickelson noted the building would need an extra $12 million for renovations.
🏥 Health
Today, Sweetwater County Public Health is holding its first flu shot clinic at Golden Hour Senior Center — 550 Uinta Dr., Green River — from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. walk-ins, and additional clinics will be held on September 24 at Young at Heart Senior Center and on October 10 and 17 at the Public Health Office in Rock Springs.
