  • At last night's Rock Springs City Council meeting, Reverend Kelli Parrish Lucas reported nearly 3,600 personal hygiene products were collected during the Churches Together Hygiene Drive to benefit local food banks, schools and community groups—while Mayor Max Mikelson declared October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month and announced the YWCA Annual Purple Glow Walk/Run on October 17 at 6 p.m. The Council approved contracts for the 2025 Concrete Replacement Program at over $1.1 million and the 2025 Crack Seal Phase II Project at $67,571.75.  Wyo4News
  • Local airport officials said yesterday that the Southwest Wyoming Regional Airport air service is funded by a contract with WYDOT, Sweetwater County, Rock Springs, and Green River so United Airlines flights will not be affected by the government shutdown, though if you are flying to a rural community with federally subsidized service—your flight may be impacted. This statement was posted on Facebook in response to concerns about federal funding cuts.  Wyo4News
