- ➤ In Rock Springs – an 86-year-old U.S. Army veteran with dementia was honored when local motorcycle clubs rode by to show respect for his service. Rocket Miner
- ➤ Flaming Gorge Days will move forward under local nonprofit leadership for 2026 after the Green River City Council met Tuesday and heard plans from a new committee led by Councilwoman Sherry Bushman—this group aims to restore the event with returning activities like the parade and car show and new attractions such as a foam party and sports tournaments. City departments including Parks and Recreation, Police, Fire and Streets will continue to support the event through an upcoming service contract. Wyo4News
- ➤ Community members have many events planned for the weekend with library crafts at White Mountain Library on Friday and fundraisers, sports games, and a glow run in Rock Springs and Green River, including a Jae Boots fundraiser and high school matches. Saturday brings a 5K zombie crawl, Dia de los Muertos celebrations and trunk-or-treat events, followed by a live drama at The Hill Church from Sunday to Tuesday (inviting families and friends to join). - ➤ Rock Springs local Drew Yerkovich, a Western alum and art teacher, will show his first solo exhibit 'Hyper-Nature' at the college gallery starting October 24 with an opening reception on November 7 at 5:00 p.m. plus he will lead a two-day printmaking workshop on October 31 and November 1 for students and community members.
