- ➤ Dr. Cole Seppie resigned from his Sweetwater County School District #1 Board of Trustees on October 29th, 2025 — he cited opposition, retaliation and an unhealthy work environment as reasons for his immediate departure and said he will work with the board for a smooth transition. His resignation comes after serving on the board since November 2024. Wyo4News
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ BLM is proposing to include nearly 20,000 acres from the Golden Triangle in its June 2026 oil & gas lease sale even though the current land-use plan protects this key wildlife habitat. Conservation groups and former officials say the plan could harm mule deer, pronghorn and sage grouse and call for immediate action to fix the issue. WyoFile
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sweetwater County School District announced a vacancy on its Board of Trustees after Dr. Cole Seppie resigned on October 28. Interested candidates must submit a letter of interest by 5 p.m. on November 14 at 3550 Foothill Boulevard in Rock Springs—officials will review submissions at a special session on November 17 to choose a replacement—who will serve until the next election.
