- ➤ A drilling lease is planned for a site two miles from the world’s largest sage grouse lek in the Golden Triangle region—its location also intersects the planet’s longest mule deer migration. Observers noted that the sagebrush area appeared mostly empty during a mid-November walk, and officials will review its impact on local wildlife. Rocket Miner

- ➤ On November 17th, the Sweetwater County School District #1 board unanimously appointed Melissa Anderson as trustee to fill Cole Seppie’s seat. Anderson, the CEO of Aspen Mountain Medical Center, will serve until at least November 2026 and begin duties at the next board meeting on December 8th — board members stressed the need for ongoing engagement.
